Who is invited?

This event for ONLY for high school students grades 9-12 and GSA Club Advisors. Please bring your school ID or other proof of current enrollment to show at the dance.

What are the expectations of attendees?

As for expectations, this will be a safe space for all students. Respectful behavior is expected, and those not exhibiting such behavior will be asked to leave. Once students enter the dance they must remain in the building until they leave; no coming and going will be allowed.

What is the parking situation?

There is free on-site parking at the venue!

Will there be any food?

Snacks, cookies, and drinks will be provided!

Question 5

Is this dance accessible to folks with various needs?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The venue is on the first floor and is ADA-accessible. We will also have a quiet space for folks with sensory needs. And all bathrooms will be gender-neutral.

How much do tickets cost? And what if I want to donate/sponsor this event?

Will police or security be present?

Accepted Answer

The event venue has it's own security guard and we will also have private security there to secure the outside of the venue. Security will be instructed to speak with GLSEN personnel first before interacting with students.

Can I register more than one person?

Accepted Answer

No, please don't. Everyone should register for themselves only. We need to make sure we have an accurate list of attendees. If you register with the same name more than once, duplicates will be deleted.

Question 9

Where is the venue? I don't see a specific street address; it just says Phoenix.

Accepted Answer

The venue is located in Central Phoenix and the address will be emailed to guests after they register and submit their JotFortm parent/guardian permission slip (which will be emailed directly to attendees). We're doing this as an added safety precaution.
